work has been going really great lately. our assistant manager has gone to one of the austin stores for her general manager training and one of our guys has gone for his assistant manager training. since we are out two of our people, an assistant manager from austin had to come in to our store. well our GM doesn't like him, and neither do any of us. He's a real putz. always jumping around, speaking too loudly, and he doesn't know how to do his job. i have had to tell him numerous times how to do simple things. anyway, our GM doesn't want him to be in charge when he's working, so she is putting me in charge when he comes back on Tuesday. quite excited about it. so, i just got a raise about a week and a half ago, and i am about to get promoted and get another raise.
other than that, everything is going wonderfully. clint got a job yesterday and starts on monday. he's really excited about that. everything is going great for us now, and we're both really happy about that.


we may be having a super bowl party, so if you aren't doing anything, make sure you come over and hang out with us. we will have plenty of food and drinks, but if you have any requests, let us know.

haven't updated in awhile. sorry about that. not like anyone reads this anyway, so it doesn't matter.
clint had drill this weekend, so he had to go to austin tomorrow. well i had to work last night, so i didn't get to see him off. i called him as soon as i got off work (11pm) and we talked for like an hour, because neither one of us could go to sleep. so anyway, i couldn't go to sleep until 3 this morning, don't know why, just couldn't. anyway, i get a call, and i don't even remember answering the phone....it's 5:30 in the morning, and i'm asleep, but talking. it's clint on the phone, and he's telling me something, but i'm not sure what. so he keeps asking if i'm there, and i guess i say yes, but i'm really not. so i hang up the phone, and go back to sleep. about an hour after clint calls back and says he needs me to pick him up, because of his arm. so i got up brushed my teeth, and got dressed. then i drove to austin, falling asleep all the way there. it was a sucky drive. so i'm really tired, and we drive back home...but realize that we need to do a bit more christmas shopping. so we go into town and head to sprint to pay our phone bill, then go to the mall and pick up some smelly good stuff...lol...after that, we go to best buy and barnes and noble, and then to hastings. well hastings needs some more help or something, because there was no one there. no one to help anyone...nothing, we were there for like 45 minutes trying to find one thing, it was ridiculous.
anyway, we finally got home, and now we're just relaxing, so give me a call if you want, otherwise...i'll see ya later. :)

it's been pretty boring lately. i know i haven't updated recently, but i've been quite busy. i know i just said it's been boring...but that doesn't mean i can't be busy...shit. today is my first day off since last monday. that's a long freakin' time. i am so incredibly tired, and i'm really glad that i have a day off, but of course me...i've already wasted about half of it, because i just woke up about a half an hour ago. i didn't have much to do today anyway, just need to go to the store to get a few things.
i worked last night, from 5-11...well that's what it said on the schedule anyway, but no...i didn't work until 11...i ended up working until 1140 last night. we close at 1030 on fridays and saturdays, and we didn't even start closing the food stuff until 1045 last night. the reason we were there so late was because the big boss was coming today...so everything had to be perfect. i was cleaning the steam table, so i had to get all the sticky food off of the sides, and all the nasty stuff inside...then i had to clean the glass...i also had to make sure there was no rice left in between anything on that counter...it was a pain.
burke is growing more and more everyday...he's such a cute little puppy...most of the time. he can be annoying, just like anything can be, but most of the time he's really sweet. he's really laid back, always chewing on something. he's lost about 5 teeth so far. so now he only has his two front teeth...well not just those, but he looks funny. clint thinks he looks like a rat...haha

we are having a NEW YEARS party. ya...ran out of colors i wanted to use for that...lol. ok, so we are having a party, and we want lots of people to come and celebrate new years with us. we want all of our friends to come, which is going to be hard i know, because lots of people are going home for christmas, but it would be really nice if bunches of you could come. there will be lots of beer, and we will even have some champagne, which we can mix with orange juice or something for those who don't like the taste of plain champagne. you guys think about it and please call me or something and let me know if you want or can come. :)

The Last Corps Trip

It was Judgment Day in Aggieland
And tenseness filled the air;
All knew there was a trip at hand,
But not a soul knew where.

Assembled on the drill field
Was the world-renowned Twelfth Man,
The entire fighting Aggie team

And out in front with Royal Guard
The reviewing party stood;
St. Peter and his angel staff
Were choosing bad from good.

First he surveyed the Aggie team
And in terms of an angel swore,
"By Jove, I do believe I've seen
This gallant group before.

I've seen them play since way back when,

But I've never seen 'em quit.

Deciding upon their fates;
Tis plain as the halo on my head
That they've opened Heaven's gates."

And when the Twelfth Man heard this,
They let out a mighty yell
That echoed clear to Heaven
And shook the gates of Hell."

And what group is this upon the side,"
St. Peter asked his aide,"
That swelled as if to burst with pride
When we our judgment made?"

"Why, sir, that's the Cadet Corps
That's known both far and wide
For backing up their fighting team
Whether they won lost or tied."

"Well, then," said St. Peter,
"It's very plain to me
That within the realms of Heaven
They should spend eternity.

And have the Texas Aggie Band
At once commence to play
For their fates too we must decide
Upon this crucial day."

And the drum major so hearing
Slowly raised his hand
And said, "Boys, let's play The Spirit
For the last time in Aggieland."

And the band poured forth the anthem,
In notes both bright and clear
And ten thousand Aggie voices

St. Peter wiped his eyes

And the colonel of the Cadet Corps said
As he stiffly took his stand,

Then heaven's pearly portals opened,
Hosts of Angels showed the way,
For that Fighting Texas Aggie group
On that final Judgment Day.


When more Aggies came in view.
Twelve dressed in Bonfire gear

Of the School they hold so dear.

Twelve Aggie voices said "Howdy"
To the keepers of the Gate.

We hope we're not too late."

St. Peter said, ‘Behold."

work is getting better and better everyday. i keep learning more things, and getting better at things i already knew. i'm really starting to enjoy it, as hard as that may seem to some of you guys. there are the days that i come home and i really don't want to be working there anymore, but then there are good days. days where everything went just the way you wanted it to, and you didn't get into trouble for forgetting to do something. kind of like yesterday. yesterday, i was on the master cash register...it was my third time being on it. the only difference between the master and the "slave" register is that you aren't on the master register the entire time. you only get on it if there are more than 5 people in line, or if it's the only register open. well yesterday both registers were open, so i wasn't on it the entire time, but i was on there for quite a while most of the day. anyway, so at panda, if you're on the register and you are over or under .30 or around that, then you get written up. well the 4 times i've been on the register, i have only been 1 or 2 cents over what i was supposed to have, never under. and i've had voids before, but yesterday...i didn't have any!! it was so exciting. my first void free day. so i was really excited about that.

last night adriana and matt came over to watch "the skeleton key". it was not that bad of a movie, but i don't think i would buy it now that i saw it. it looked really good in previews, but clint says it was predictable...i don't think it was. it was different than most scary movies. i really didn't see the ending coming at all.

harry potter comes out tomorrow...i'm really excited about that. except i can't see it until sunday because clint has drill this weekend and leaves tomorrow at 6, and i have to work tomorrow. we may go see it tomorrow early, depending on if they can get me to work in the morning and not the evening.

oh ya, here's a new pic of burke...and...i got a tattoo last friday, on my wrist...pretty...here's a pic of that too

i know...i haven't written in awhile. kind of been a bit busy. been working for the past couple of days...but it's worth it, because i will be getting paid more than i've gotten there so far. this 2-week check will pay for more than half of our rent...woohoo. and, clint has drill this weekend, so that will pay for the other part...and i will get paid again at the beginning of next month, so...yay.

right now, i'm so incredibly pissed that the internet isn't working. when clint got his computer, we got a wireless converter deal, and it worked great the first couple of days...then we didn't have internet at all...then we had it, but now it sucks. there's hardly any signal at all, and it's really making me mad. something brand new is supposed to work! arg!!

hey all...today was my day off, but i got called in anyway. grr...so i went in to work at 6 this evening, and was supposed to stay until 10. well i got there, and it was so freakin busy. there was a line around the corner when i got there. so i started working, and then we started slowing down again...but not for long. so anyway, there were 3 people working in the front tonight, which really sucked...but we did fine. so it ended up that i didn't have to stay until 10, i got to leave at 9, so i went to pick up some oreos and milk, and came home.
i then proceeded to change my clothes, and take the dog out. and now i'm here...in front of my computer typing...how great is that...ya right...more like boring!
